This is an amazing example of bio-mechanics – the hip ball-and-socket joint (also the body's largest joint) fits together in a way that allows for fluid movement. Yet, despite its durability, the hip joint isn't indestructible. With age and use, the cartilage can wear down or become damaged. Muscles and tendons in the hip can get overused. Any of these conditions can lead to hip pain.
But you don’t need to let hip pain stop you! Hip pain is what got Kendyl into Osteopathy in the first place. After 5 years of struggling with hip pain, she saw an osteopath and was thrilled at how effective it was in helping manage her injury.
Hip pain affects many people and can decrease quality of life dramatically. We will not only treat the hip, but also the surrounding areas such as the knees and lower back, as these areas closely affect the biomechanics of the hip joints.
